Because the brand ships it. Order a Bonavita brewer and Bonavita packs it. Order beans and the roaster roasts them after you click. There is no warehouse in the middle, no "sponsored" row of lookalikes above the thing you searched for, no phone case in the box.
Because we wrote the guide. Every product here is one we'd recommend anyway at shopcoffee.com, where we rank gear on merit and say when the cheap one wins. Selling it doesn't move it up the list. If the other place is cheaper, our button says so. We're weird like that.
Because "fresh" means a date, not a vibe. Roast-to-order coffee, shipped in days. Not bags that were roasted during a previous administration and labelled "best by" with a straight face.
