New Light
Why I carry it: A lighter roast for people who want to taste where the coffee came from, not just that it got hot. Shipped by Superlost themselves, not off a third-party warehouse shelf. Why freshness matters.
The standout:
- Superlost's rotating light roast from East African farms: when a lot sells out, they switch
- The current farm and tasting notes are listed below, and the last farm change is dated
- Roasted by Craig Deahl
Kanzu 726 comes from the Karambi community in Rwandaβs Nyamasheke region, high above Lake Kivu at around 2,000 meters. Nestled below the biodiverse Nyungwe Forest, the areaβs cool climate, abundant rainfall, and rich volcanic soil allow the Bourbon cherries to ripen slowly, making them among the last harvested in Rwanda each season.
This fully washed lot delivers a clean, refined cup that highlights the clarity and complexity developed at this exceptional elevation.
We taste cinnamon raisin, yellow plum, and delicate oolong tea.
New Light farms are rotating light roasted East African farms. Once a lot sells out, we switch.Β
